Decks Unlimited: Footings & Framing Options
At Decks Unlimited, we provide premium-quality footings and framing options designed to ensure durability, strength, and longevity for your deck. Whether you’re looking for traditional pressure-treated options or advanced composite and aluminum solutions, we have the right materials to build a sturdy and lasting deck structure.
Footings
1. Standard Pressure Treated Post
- We dig a 12-18″ hole, 42-96″ deep and set the post on a Footing Pad®.
- Posts are a 4×6 or 6×6, depending on the height of the deck.
2. Perma-Column®
- A precast reinforced concrete post used to replace a wood post in the ground.
- We dig a 12”-18” hole and set it on top of a Footing Pad®.
- 3x stronger than standard concrete.
- 10,000 PSI precast concrete + 60,000 PSI rebar.
- Powder-coated ⅛-inch steel bracket.
- This is a permanent post for a rot-free, long-lasting solution.
3. Helical Pier or Ground Screw
- A metal structural ground screw used instead of traditional post digging.
- The screws are set using a specialized machine that calculates the pressure and resistance. Once the required pressure is met, the post is set.
- Ideal for wet areas or regions with a high water table.
- Eliminates any heaving or sinking, ensuring the deck remains stable for life.
